About Iris | Musical Theater

Iris’s love for musical theater began in elementary school, where she first took the stage in school productions. Her first experience beyond the classroom came when, at age 9, she was cast in a local community production of Beauty and the Beast, playing a wide-eyed sugar cube. Little did that sugar cube know that eight years later, she would return to the same story—this time as Mrs. Potts.

This was only the beginning of Iris’s journey in musical theater. Since then, she has taken on a wide range of roles, including Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Liesl in The Sound of Music, Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical, Kim MacAfee in Bye Bye Birdie, Sylvia in All Shook Up, Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, and Marian in The Music Man.
